About

I’m a freelance chazzan based in London.

I trained in both Nusach and vocal production under Chazan Stephen Robins ARCM, who served as Chazan of various shuls around the world and was formerly a tutor on the Chazzanut course at Jews College (now LSJS).

I blend my background in traditional Anglo nusach with my love for modern Jewish music – the likes of Shwekey, Ishay Ribo, and Simcha Leiner – choosing tunes and setting the tone perfectly for any congregation. Whether it’s an older community with immense respect for United Synagogue tradition in a cathedral shul, a lively family gathering on a Bnei Akiva Shabbaton, or a student minyan, I have the expertise and versatility to adapt to any occasion.

When it comes to synagogue services, I aim to be the ideal chazzan for the modern community, whether for a simcha, a special Shabbat, or just to elevate the service. I have experience singing solo, with a full choir, and in close harmony. I’ve just formed a (yet to be named!) close harmony a-capella group of students who will be joining me for Yom Kippur this year.
